The picture above shows an all-inclusive playground in another city. The equipment shown is an example of a proposed park.

We received a estimate to convert the Lake Winona Playground near the Band Shell - the amount is $170,616.00.

To give you a perspective of the number of children that are deemed to be physically challenged in our community, there are 3500 students in grades K through 12 in District 861. The district classifies 244 as having some degree of physical challenge. This figure does not include the students in private or charter schools. It is clear to see that this number would be much higher when we look at the complete picture.

The name of the project, "Every Child's Dream" resulted from the fact that it is truly every child's dream to run, jump and play just like everyone else. This project hopes to make that dream a reality. We aim to give every child the opportunity to play alongside their peers rather than watching from the sidelines. The picture of the park above shows an example of an all-inclusive playground.
